Fellow MMBC Members...I finally received accurate information and registration forms for the 2nd Annual R/C Model Boat and Seaplane Regatta at Callaway Gardens. The event will be held SATURDAY, 5 SEPTEMBER at Robin Lake in Callaway Gardens from 0900-1830 hours. There is "FREE" complementary admission to Callaway Gardens for registered participants and one guest on day of the event (5 Sept.).  Seaplanes, gas, and Fast Electrics have been added to the program this year.  An awards ceremony and FREE covered dish dinner hosted by the Longleaf Community Association concludes the day. I'll bring registration packets to the Pond on next Saturday, 15 August. Registration deadline is 26 August.  If you want the info sooner, just let me know!

I plan on going right now.I think we should move that sail date so crash can go.But that is just my 2 cents.

Alternately, we could designate an alternate to stand in for Crash (thus alowing him to go)

I see Crash fulfilling 2 official roles at the club sails:
1. Sign-in and sign-up
2. Rescue Capabilty

Rescue capability can be probided by anyone who owns a tug and is willing to provide the service.

Sign-in and sign-up is essentially keeping the sign-in sheet and being willing to answer questions of strangers.  This can be done by any of the members, especially the long standing members, if one is willing.


Another possibility is to designate the regatta AS the official club sail...

I prefer the first, and since it is likely that I will not be at the regatta, I can provide the sign-in and sign-up service.  If one of the tug owners is willing to step up to provide rescue, Crash will be free to go.
